Trust vs Expect

Posted on December 11, 2022December 14, 2022 by Seung Chan Lim 0

Trust
implies vulnerability.

Expectation
demands certainty.

To lose trust
because of our violated
expectations
is to forget what it means
to trust.

Or to realize
that from the start,
there was no trust,
just unmanaged
expectations.

Need for Support

Posted on November 21, 2021November 22, 2021 by Seung Chan Lim 0

We are born
to need
the support of others.

This is more obvious,
when we’re near birth
or near death.

In between,
we may pretend
we don’t need
support
or we may think
we’re weak
if we do.
