Setting Up for Failure

Sometimes
we test someone’s reliability
without sharing
our criteria.

Fair enough.

But testing their reliability
without a clear criteria
for the test
basically sets them up
for failure.

If you have strong opinions on something,
but worried you’re not actually testing their skills
frame your opinion as concerns and desired outcomes.

Do them in a way that allows as much freedom for the person to come up with the means to alleviate your concerns and achieve your desired outcomes.

To Lose

Its easy to judge
losing
as “bad.”

As long as we love someone
or something
we will eventually
lose them.

The only way not to lose
is to never
love.

What we often forget
is that while we love
because we have yet to lose
we dont
appreciate.

And only appreciate
after we have lost.

Focus & Burden

What we focus on
is sometimes a result
of a burden
we’re carrying.

That focus can be released
when others release us
from the burden.

I was focused on making the website perfect to make sure I’m supporting connie to the best of my ability,
then she told me I don’t have to work on the website anymore because it was enough and it will never be perfect enough to answer all the questions that we cannot possibly anticipate getting, then I felt a relief from my shoulder, it was then an only then that I realized it was a burden I was carrying. The burden that I must make the website perfect or else I’m not doing my job or my responsibility that I’m not being enough.

Gift Giving

Some give gifts
based on their projection
of value.

Something expensive
Something rare
Something ??

The receiver appreciates gifts
based on what they value
but have difficulty attaining.

Something they wouldnt pay that much for
Something
